Event Logistics
-
Please reference your registration confirmation email for your personalized start and end times, including any pre- or post-conference events you are attending. If you are attending only the main Summit, please plan to arrive by 3:00pm on Monday, May 18. The main event concludes at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 20. Pre-conference events may begin as early as 8:00am on Monday. A more detailed agenda will be shared closer to the event.
If you are a first time attendee, we welcome you to join the pre-conference Primer on Monday, starting at 8:00am. The Primer serves as an introduction to the core ideas, frameworks, and context that will help you get acquainted with Praxis and the work being done in our community. The Primer is also open to returning participants who want to re-engage with our foundational content, and is highly recommended for those who haven’t attended a Praxis event recently. Please email summit@praxis.co to sign up!
-
You can expect three interactive days that include customized small-group dialogue, breakout sessions, plenary sessions, and other group activities. A more detailed agenda will be provided as we get closer to the event.
-
Summit attendees will enjoy dinner on May 18; breakfast, lunch, and dinner on May 19; and breakfast on May 20, along with refreshments during breaks. Pre-conference attendees will also enjoy breakfast and lunch on May 18. Post-conference attendees will enjoy all meals through the continuation of their program.
-
Attendees typically dress between casual and business casual—some opt for blazers and chinos, while others prefer a favorite t-shirt and sneakers. We’ll be using outdoor spaces extensively, including for evening meals and receptions, while plenary sessions and many breakouts will be held indoors. We recommend wearing what feels most comfortable and bringing layers for changing temperatures.
Registration
-
Full refunds are available until one month out on April 18, 2026. After that date, lodging expenses become non-refundable, though event ticket refunds will still be offered until May 8th. No refunds will be issued within 10 days of the event.
Travel Logistics
-
While the hotel recommends Sacramento (SMF) or Oakland (OAK) airports—since ground transportation from those airports to the venue in Napa typically has less traffic than from San Francisco (SFO)—many of our attendees find that SFO offers more flight options. Any of these three airports work well.
-
The Meritage Resort & Spa does not provide a shuttle service. We recommend using a scheduled car service, or taking an Uber, Lyft, or taxi from the airport to the venue. When the Summit concludes at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 20, the Praxis team will offer a limited number of shuttles to area airports on a first-come, first-served basis. RSVP details for these shuttles will be shared a few weeks before the Summit.
-
All activities will be held at The Meritage Resort & Spa, so you won’t need a car during the event unless you’re staying offsite or have personal plans before or after the Summit.
Nominations
-
This year’s summit registration is closed, but we encourage you to nominate them to attend next year’s 2027 Summit using this brief online form.
-
Invitations are single-person invitations. With limited space for Summit each year, as a general rule, we do not invite spouses to attend programming or meals. This helps us ensure each of our participants at Summit is involved in venture-building work, as we aim to create a gathering where every attendee is an active member of our Community of Practice. We only invite spouses on a case by case basis where spouses are actively involved in venture building. Spouses or family members are welcome to travel with you and enjoy the resort, though access to event spaces and meals will be limited to registered attendees.
Lodging
-
If you’re not staying offsite, your accommodations at The Meritage Resort & Spa have already been booked as part of your Summit registration. You don’t need to take any additional steps to confirm with the venue. If you need to make changes to your reservation, please email summit@praxis.co.
